IPD provided engineering services to support a 2017 $73.65M district-wide capital improvement project that made renovations and improvements to all four of the Central Valley School District current school buildings. The project included flood mitigation, classroom and security upgrades at Jarvis Middle School, classroom and security upgrades along with small additions to make the buildings structurally and programmatically equitable at both Barringer Road and Fisher Elementary Schools. Along with relocating the cafeteria and district offices, improving technology, and renovating instruction areas to create in-house opportunities for meeting the state’s new Multiple Pathways to graduation initiative at Central Valley Academy (CVA). The improvements also included an addition of a multi-purpose turf field at CVA. Stonehedge Elementary, the District Office, and Transportation Center.
More specifically, the engineering scope of work includes select HVAC upgrades including boiler and water heater replacement, select roof top unit replacement, select air handling unit replacement, select electrical panel upgrades and replacement, and fire alarm and public address system upgrades.
